Brooke Cotton, DVM

Dr. Cotton discovered her passion for veterinary medicine in high school after learning about feline gestation and watching kittens develop. Not long after graduating, she joined Carlyle Animal Hospital as a kennel assistant, where she quickly realized she had found her calling. She advanced to a veterinary assistant role and remained a valued member of the team throughout her undergraduate studies and up until she began veterinary school.

Dr. Cotton earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2025. She was excited to return home to Carlyle Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian, continuing her journey at a place she loves. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and building relationships with her patients and their families.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Cotton has celebrated some exciting milestones—she recently got married and welcomed a German Shorthaired Pointer puppy into her family.
